Happy 80th Grandma

Grandma Nassen (troy's side) turned 80 this month so there was a party to celebrate! Camera just came in from outside so it was foggy :( But thanks to my mom being there we were able to get a whole family side picture!

Today was the funeral for my Uncle Bryce. He will be missed by many.... Obituary ..

Dad's Side

I haven't seen most of my Dad's side of the family since his death 11 yrs ago. I was lucky enough to be able to attend the funeral for my uncle and catch up with all of them. Next time I hope its a more happy occasion.

Happy Birthday MOM!

For the first time in years I was able to be home with my mom for her birthday. We got her a cake and some ice cream.

Baptism

Tonight we took London and my mom and went down to our lake and baptized London right there. We will do a church one also someday to get the rest of the family and god-parents (Jeremy-Troy's brother and Brenda-my friend from college) can be there.

After party

Today I dragged Troy out of bed after a great night of partying to go to the gift opening party (yep *I* went to one finally) but in true Angela fashion I thought I would be bored so I gave a gift that would be more entertaining to watch be opened.....

We gave them money for a new TV for their house, however instead of a plan old card we decided to spice it up.....with a big old blue dinosaur pinata!!!! (filled with candy and toys of course with the check!)......that was fun to watch get opened!

Today was the big day! I got a brand new sister---who totally rocks by the way!

Rehearsal Dinner

Tonight was katie & jeremy's (my brother in law) rehearsal dinner....



Katie works at a school as a teacher and the German teacher gave her a plate for her "Ghost evening" (its the day before the wedding). How I was taught was everyone (bride and groom also) broke a porcelain dish (could be plates/bowls/cups/etc).... The saying is that "Shards bring luck/happiness". The couple cleans it up together, with the significance being that although life will bring difficulties and messes to clean up, you get through it by cleaning up together. Katie and Jeremy just broke one on their own (and I don't think helped clean it up). Me and my newest sister!Troy and I looking cute!

Car Love

Today we got to Sioux Falls, SD. Met up with some friends for dinner and then ended up going to Scarlet O'hares (strip club LOL). Couldn't get pictures of THAT of course LOL. But here is one of the future groom "loving" on a pimp car! :D

Video surprise!!!!

So about a week ago I emailed my cousins Jay and Kelly to see if they would help me surprise my mom by telling her I am pregnant on Grandparent's day. She has been nagging me for a grandchild for about 12yrs now! HAHAHA Well she of course is out of town on Sunday (actual grandparents day) so we had to improvise some. So I emailed Kelly my ultrasound picture and had her print it off and place it in a nice little frame: (so imagine instead of a baby it my ultrasound picture of the little gummy bear)



Then I had her put a note on it that says "Grandma, I'm coming April 2009!" Love Troy & Angela.

Well my mom needed to stop at their house to pick up some medications (jay is a drug rep). When she got there they were "playing" with their new video camera. She was telling them she was just notified that she got the job she really wanted. Well about that time they had a gift for her. (she was thinking it was a new job gift). When she opened it she found the frame and the note. But hey why am I explaining this to you, when you can watch the video!


She then called me as soon as she found out (4am our time!) and squealed away at me! Needless to say she is VERY excited! HAHAHAHA And already planning her shopping sprees.
