"Snow" mountain

So this is nasty gross "snow" but for Houston kids it was awesome. Yes this is the grungy pile of snow that the plows pile up in the big lots. But to my kids it was AWESOME!

Pent up energy

So what happens when you put to two kids in a minivan for two days.... They have some energy to burn. And while Troy was playing with Jo she let loose. (Troy ended up with a black eye for a few days!)

35!

Happy birthday troy! London help decorated the cake.
Jordan however got a 2hr stomach bug. She puked 3 times took a bath and then slept on the bathroom may for a couple hours and was fine and manage to polish off two pieces of cake.
During the day we had our homeschool co-op. Today one of our experiments was how the moon got those dents in it. So we made a moon floor (flour and cocoa ) and dropped rocks on it. Kids loved making craters.

Troy had work off today so he helped me out with my normal crazy Monday. I took Jo to gymnastics and he and London played games and wrestled. Some guy time. Then when I took London to reading class Troy and Jo decorated our driveway. Notice the YMCA?
And at art class tonight Jo made a family tree. It's hard to tell on the photo but te kids have nice orange hair.

Big helpers

It was another beautiful day in the 70s so we took this chance to get some yard work done. The kids even helped.
Then we rewarded them with some fun with friends at the park.

Happy valentines day!

Happy love day y'all. <3 me and the kids had a calm day. We were outside playing when we found our neighbors from across the streets dog. He is a beautiful huskey. So we got him in the backyard and had a pet for the day! London and Jo loved him. Unfortunately our next door neighbors dog did not. SHe would jump over our 6 foot fence and growl and had her hair raised. It was scary. Luckily she was more scared of me. So every time she jumped in our yard I just yelled at her and she went back over. Here is a cute pictur of London and t-chu (no idea how to spell it).
I wanted tchu to sit and instead London did. Lol
We got lots if love in the mail and from the kids this year. Not all made the shelf but most are here. The kids went to a parents night out program and Troy and I had dinner and grabbed some movie theatre popcorn and headed home for a movie.

Moms group playtime

We had our monthly moms day at the local play place. The kids wouldn't hold still for photos. :)

Lets meet Ed

Today we got a "pet" his name is ed. He is a roomba. For those not in te know... A roomba is a little robot thing that sweeps/ vacuums your floor on its own. My kids watched him eat all the stuff for so long we named him.
One of our errands today was to mail off a couple valentines packages. So we headed to the post office. London and Jo were do excited. I'm guessing one of their shows talked about them. They were pretty disappointed they didn't get to go back and see the sorting section. However they were willing to pose with some po boxes. Lol
And when we got home they were bickering and I told them to work it out. They did. They both snuck some suckers from the valentines bag. Then proceeded to lay on the floor singing "when your really mad and you want to roar, take a deep breath and count to four". It was to cute.
And our final errand for the day was to pick up a used rug I scored for the living room. Once I clean up I will get a picture
Of what it looks like in our place.

Kids valentines party

Today the ladies got together and we threw a little party for the kids for valentines day.
London was in LOVE with this real kids guitar! He played and sang for me a ton.

We did potluck style for food.
Kristina also had a nice like v-day activity for the kids to do. Both the kids made dad a valentine.
Baby Wyatt was there and london was all loving on him. He made it a point to make to that we didn't bring him home. But he sat there and sang to him when he fussed and whispered "shhhh don't cry". This kid is going to be such a great dad some day!
Also today THEY FINALLY CAME!!! Girl scout cookies are in the house man!

Yellow fish tryout and Valentines

Big day for little miss jo. Today she tried out for Yellow Fish (3yrs old and up) gymnastics class. This is for the bigger kids and the youngest they will allow is 2.5 yrs old (which she is TODAY!).  Its the big kids class because you have to be potty trained and independent. No parents are allowed in these classes. And she did GREAT! Technically she was better than some of the kids in the class. However every time she doesn't something and completes it she runs to coach mike to tell him she did it. LOL So we have to work on her staying in her spot and repeating her activity on her own. Once that happens I bet she gets bumped up to the Green Turtles pretty quick. I think the next evaluation is in June.

London had his first day of Next step to reading class. He really enjoyed the first class in this series. Its a class they go to another room so I can't get pictures of it. But he was reading his minibook when he got home and is doing really well. He just loves being able to read things!

Monday is sooo busy for us now. We have gymnastics (jo), then reading (london), and finally our Science (london) and at the same time Art (jo) classes. These last two are only for 2 months so we are half way done.  I was being sneaky and grabbed a picture of jo in her art class with a substitute teacher today. She made me a Valentine card, Dad a v-day frame and a v-day collection bag which should come in useful tomorrow for the party.

So speaking for party. Tomorrow the gang with have a Valentines day party! Any excuse for food and fun and we are in! Jo had no interest in making things so she is giving out snacks. London wanted tattoos and we made this cute little gift.....
