Not twin bing but close... ( also a magic potion and super powers!)

Well one of the down sides to living in Texas is they don't have Twin Bings. They are one of my favorite candies. However I found this little guy at the local Hobby Lobby and its almost spot on! I think the cherry ratio is higher but i'm not complaining.
Here is the original...

Also I got this magic potion started so it would be ready in a day or two.  Anyone know what it is?

And my friend Jenn made both kids a cape! They loved them!!! Even had to hang them up in our closet.

Miner's Doll and Toy Store

A friend I made while in New Orleans told me about this little ma and pa shop in Gulf Springs, MS. It's called Miner's Doll and Toy Store. Its more of a grandma and grandpa shop! The owners were in their late 80's and still worked the place daily, they were SO FRIENDLY. I got London a couple of things that he didn't need of course!
And on the way home I found a little roadside stand with GREAT italian Beef...JUST like Chicago. (right south of exit 50)...

The Brick Pit

We went on a search for this place because of its good reviews online. When we got there we were surprised because it didn't look like what you would think it was going to.... (it was GOOD though!)

So here is a shot of a GREAT sandwich...(oh and troy's hotdog---no ketchup allowed on TRUE chicago dogs!)

Philly-Part #1....Jim's Steak on South St and some Rocky

Today we flew into Philadelphia (on the way to our new quick location in Delaware). We got in early enough were we could go see some of the historical sites of Philly. But being the preggo I am the FIRST thing on my brain was food----so our first stop was Jim's Steak on South St, a famous Philly cheese-steak location.....
**next couple days will be philly pictures from today**
And then there is this little statue a few of you may recognize (yep same one as in the movies but they took it off the staircase)

Food in Yankton, SD

Some of my must hit areas when I come home is my local food!
First you have to stop at Muggsy's which Maximum Magazine also says has one of the BEST Steak and Cheese Subs in the country---

Then there is Tasty Treats, its a drive up mom and pop place that has wonderful sloopy joe like sandwiches called tastees!

And finally my old stomping grounds of Bonanza (we owned this for about 18 yrs!)...My favorite day is Friday...because its potato dumpling soup day (it doesn't look like much but OMG)! YUM....

Night on the town

One of the crews is leaving us :( So we had to have a farewell party. And party we did! Some of us ate Spcorpions, cockroachs, frogs, and grasshoppers! Some of us played with snakes/bug eyed animals and "working" girls. Isn't that a normal night out!?

Benihana

Went to Benihana Restaurant for dinner tonight with a group of people. Its a Japanese restaurant that they do have in the USA, they cook your food right at the table. While they do it they do little shows with their kitchen utensils. Only got a picture of half the group. We each had big table and shared a room, so this is the other half of the group's table.

The O.G.

Another day of running errands. First I had my yearly girl check up....don't worry that is NOT the picture of the day LOL. Also ran around doing other boring things. When I got home Leah and I decided to go get some Olive Garden....Troy hates it so I thought this was a good opportunity to go. Leah Loved her food so much she jumped with joy! (of course that could have been the wine also)

Hot Pot

This has been my favorite place to eat in China. Its not sweet and sour chicken and spring rolls....I have not actually seen ANY since I got here. Nope this place is called Little Sheep restaurant and its the famous hot pot chain in China. Hot pot is a type of cookings, its very close to a fondue. There is a pot in the middle of the table with a gas stove top under it. The pot is full of whatever spices or flavor you like in a broth. Then you pick the ingredients you want to boil in the pot. So you cook it yourself at the table and everyone eats out of the same pot. You can also order different types of sauces to dip your food in. I get the peanut sauce or garlic sauce.

Here are some of our ingredients:
The menu is completely in Chinese so we just kept going and going to figure out what was what. They let us keep one right on menu and we write in English what is what, and then bring that back with us next time to order again.

Here is the hot pot itself in the middle of the table.
