Pattaya Kart Speedway

Today I planed for a small group of us to go to the Pattaya Kart Speedway. They have go kart there that go 70-80km/hr (so about 35 miles/hr) it was fun. Then Natalia bungee jumped while we watched. And finally Mia, Troy, Pulkit and I did some paintball fights. Pulkit and I were on one team, Mia and Troy on the other. We beat them each time! It was a great time. I got troy straight in the heart even! (nice shot I know LOL). Pulkit didn't get hit once! I got the most kills and got hit once by Troy.

Ripley's Believe It or Not.

Well I have been saying I should go to this. Today Salley and I decided why not today?! Plus we had a coupon off so we had no excuse not to. They have four areas in this one. The Museum, the Haunted House, the 4D movie, the maze.
Since I showed you a picture of the outside earlier this week-here is a picture of the plane from the inside.
This was one of the circus chairs for the tallest man alive.
World's biggest tire that was actually used.

My Favorite Free Vegas Show

My favorite free show in Las Vegas is The Sirens of TI (Treasure Island). This was my first time watching it during the day-it takes better pictures this way!

Only in Vegas

So I ran into a Rugby group that was touring the USA. They decided to get dressed up a little for the casino. Here is SOME of the group:
Now many times in my travels people will ask me to be in their pictures. I assumed this was because I am a blonde with blue eyes and that is something they don't see much. Well these rugby guys decided I needed to be in their pictures! I got pulled over to be in about 1,000 pictures with them. It was fun!

Rum Pong?

Well you have all heard of Beer Pong I hope. If not its a game in which you throw or bounce ping pong balls into cups full of beer. There are 10 cups on one end of the table and ten on the other side-usually placed in a pyramid position. This can be played as two people or as teams. If you get a ball in a cup the other team/player has to drink it. Well one of my favorite casinos on the strip is O'Sheas. They have beer pong tables there!!!! As most of you know I don't drink beer, so I played with rum and cokes! I met some great people while doing this, since a girl drinking shots while the boys drink beer apparently is a funny thing to see. The two strangers in the the bottom picture are some great guys we met and played with (I won LOL). Nick and Paul, Nick the taller of the two is from Loveland, CO!!! Small world huh.

Me playing Rum pong: (the person taking this photo was smoking HAHAHA)

Tombs, a Wall and Some Duck.

We woke up to yet another smog filled day (the norm we have now learned). We got a personal driver for the day and we were off.....
First stop this little thing known as The Great Wall. Found out its a MYTH that you can see if from outer space!

Second was the Ming Tombs.....we didn't see all 13 of them, just the most famous two. My favorite part was Spirit Path shown here.

Finally dinner at Bianyifang....the birth place of the Beijing Duck (peking duck you may also know it as.....peking means Beijing....the people here sometimes call Beijing-Peking). This resturant opened in 1855. The duck is the best I have ever had. This picture is of the duck cut up and served with thin pancakes/buns/duck sauce/onions and cumbers. You take a pancake put the duck in the sauce place it on the pancake with cucumber and onion, roll it up and eat!

The Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square

Today we woke up early and first thing we noticed was the amount of smog in the air! Its so thick it looks almost cloudy! (you will notice this in the pictures-its was hard on our lungs)
We decided to go to The Great Wall tomorrow and hope its clearer then. Our main two events for today..... headed to The Forbidden City, spent 6 hours there, its really the size of a city! Who knew?! After that we went on over and looked at Tiananmen Square area where the "incident" in 1989 took place...can't talk about it or I will get in trouble. (may later though hehehe)

Shanghai (4/11-4/13/08)

Since I didn't have this page when we did some tourist stuff I am going to do a little catch up. These pictures are from one of our days in Shanghai.

The Yu Garden. It was a great place to walk around, very relaxing and it only took them about 400 years to make it that beautiful.

Longhua Temple and Pagoda (Pagoda is the tall thing in the background) is the oldest and largest monastery in Shanghai. 247 AD

Nanjing Rd at night. This the golden mile of shopping.
