Songthaew, also known as a Baht Bus
This is our main form of transportation while in the city. A Songtaews or bahat bus (the thailand money is Baht) can be hired very easily-there about a hundred outside of my hotel. Its a truck that has to benches in the back bed, you jump on and they take you to where you need to go...for pennies!!!!

What brand of pickup was that? Also, how much is gas over there? Sure wouldn't get a ride around here for just pennies! Alyce
No idea what brand it is but gas is about $6/gal. USA actually has the cheapest gas for an industrialized country. In the UK its about $9/gal! So when we come home we are happy to see the low gas prices. lol
